I keep telling this, but I cannot tell it but once more...the rainwashed campus is one of the most serene sights I have ever seen in Salem...and sometime back, one of the trees in the large open space between the admin block and the computer science block had bloomed and the fragrance of the flower laden tree made me think that there were some trees that were trying to commune through their fragrance. The fragrance on this tree was light, subtle and yet lingering...The road near the Metallurgy department was laid afresh. It looked so neat and clean.
I do believe the canteen fare is sometimes quite bland...this, in spite of the fact that at times, it offers delicious food ...sometimes...I think, the quality is compromised when quantity demands it.

Rain is a welcome change to the GCE campus. The wet roads appearing more blacker, the smell of wet sand, the fragrances from the trees and the coolness that wraps them all! Ah...I miss my college very much.
You are lucky, to be there and to enjoy it all!
I do believe so too. God bless me.
i personally think that the old canteen contracter did better than the current one. It is no more a canteen. It looks like a hotel now :)
Hotel! That is really surprising! Please enlighten me on what makes a canteen a canteen and not a hotel, Gopi. I am curious in the real sense.
Well.. In the golden ages (before 2006), the canteen had those big round circular tables around which upto 15 of us used to sit and have a single tea. (One will be drinking and others will be watching it :))..and the canteen owner was too generous to take it ease.
Is it possible in current canteen?
And you know mam, we used to spend hours in the old canteen, which i think is not possible in the current one. It was our resort during free hours...
I faced this situation in the new canteen. The canteen people are not happy to see me talking with a junior without ordering anything from the canteen :) So i had no other choice.
I think i am clear with my concepts on canteen and hotel..these things cannot be done in the hotel..
:) Looks like someone smiling..
