Video conferencing with GCT, Coimbatore was facilitated at our campus. The Principals and the Heads of Departments conferred with one another on the use of video conferencing in teaching our students. It was mututally agreed upon by the departments to fix certain days to deliver lectures and talks to students on appointed days.

For me, personally, this marks the slow but steady pace at which technology is catching up with GCE.

It's nice to hear that the college is getting tech-savvy. I just posted a news article on my blog, which reported on a full fledged digital library for GCE salem.

Really excited..

es, wasn't that on The Hindu? The infrastructure is wonderful - there are reading rooms, to be equipped with computers and a gallery type conferece hall and all this along with e journals and networked library system will be fantastic, but as you know, it will take time, since funds flow takes it time. Am looking forward to it like anyone else.
